While living in New York City, my wife received a great job opportunity in Chicago and we decided to move... after 25 years in NYC, we were looking for a change. However, we weren't vaccinated, couldn't travel, needed to move soon, and barely knew Chicago. Normally, we'd never consider buying a house without seeing it, so, we had a choice: rent or trust someone's opinion. Enter: Marc Dumas. Marc was referred to us and we told him our time to look for condos was limited. After a friendly conversation over Zoom about what we needed, he provided us a database with many apartments that all had features we wanted. Once we decided to buy, instead of rent, it really was pretty simple... you need a loan agent? He knows a good one. You need an attorney? He had a few suggestions. What about an inspector? Yep, he had suggestions for inspectors. We looked over the 3D images of the apartment again and again and really liked it, but, were things as they seemed? Marc periodically checked in with us and was nice enough to look over the apartment in person; once on his own and again with the inspector. Without rambling on and on, we got to Chicago and we love the condo.
