1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
My #1 Most Important Advice...Get Pre-Approved!! If you haven’t already done so, you need to get pre-approved for a mortgage. Beyond just knowing that you can get a mortgage, and for how much, getting pre-approved will do a couple of other things for you:
1. MOST IMPORTANT! You’ll need it when you want to submit an offer on a home! Nearly all agents will require a pre-approval to be included with an offer or they will more than likely pass on your offer. So in these moments, time can be of the essence. If you need to rush to get pre-approved, you may lose the home if you can’t get it in time.
2. Starting to talk with lenders now will give you time to choose which lender you want to work with, shop rates and products, and get the best overall loan for your situation. (NOTE: Once you’re under contract, you won’t have much time to shop around for rates and your preferred lender.)
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Price the home right, from the beginning! A very common mistake that many sellers make is feeling the need to start high to attract buyers but unfortunately, that just deters them! Another piece of advice, prepare your home to show! Remove personal items, de-clutter, take out extra pieces of furniture if possible, etc. We want the buyers to imagine themselves living in your home, as their own. We want them to fall in love! Store your stuff, put it in storage or garage. Most important, hire me before making any improvements, even if it is just choosing a paint color, and let me help guide you in making sure the changes are what today’s buyers are seeking and are not over-improved for your market area.

With years of experience as an Appraisal Assistant and a newly Certified Appraisal Inspector, I’ve worked in the field and in the office with the most up to date appraisal software which has helped me gain the knowledge and understanding of Real Estate. This is what put me on the path to where I am today working as a Realtor®! The knowledge and experience I’ve gained from working in various markets and with 1,000s of homes have given me the opportunity to make sure I do my best to meet ALL my client's needs!
