We first "met" you in March 2022 through a direct mailing you did to homeowners in Burlington. When I called and left a message, you responded right away. We spoke on the phone then you came to the house to meet with me and my sisters in person. You spent time with us and explained the market and the selling process, even though we were not ready to put the house on the market. You were sympathetic to the fact that the house was our family home for 65 years, where we all grew up and our parents still lived until their passings in 2017 and 2021. Our youngest sister was living in the house, and you helped her with access to apartment listings so she could find a new place. You followed up on our progress of cleaning out our family home and offered resource assistance with things like dumpsters, carpenters, etc., without us feeling like we were being rushed or pushed. In June 2023, we were ready to put the house on the market and we contacted you again as we felt a connection to you. We jokingly referred to you as the "5th L sister". You went over the selling process again, explaining what had changed since we spoke in March. Once we signed the agreement to retain you and your firm, things moved quickly and efficiently. I live in Connecticut and while I was in Burlington almost every weekend, you made it easy for me to be able to manage all that had to be done like installing smoke detectors, meeting with the fire marshal, final utility readings, and even recommending a closing attorney, Peter Damore. The photographer came, the house went on the market, and in 6 days we had several offers. The sale closed in just over 30 days after it went on the market. During the time between the offer and the closing, you were very patient, answering all our questions whether it was about cleaning or leaving something in the garage. On closing day, you stopped by as we were trying to get the last bit out and thanked us for allowing you to sell our house. Since there is no "in-person" closing to "pass papers" these days, we didn't know when the house was officially transferred until you called to personally tell us the news. This was the closure we needed. Thank you, Lori and Team Blue, for all you did to make the process of selling our family home as easy as possible and acknowledging the emotions that go along with moving on.
