I contacted Lori Newson on Sunday 8/3. Weekends are usually the time I look at propective properties, as a lot of people do Im sure. I left a voicemail and since this was a Sunday, I assumed she would contact me later in the week. To my surprise, she contacted me about an hr after I left the voicemail. It was quite noisy in the background so I could tell she was at some sort of event. She kept saying who is this? so I could tell she hadnt listened to my voicemail and she was simply returning a missed call. Mind you this was at night. I politely explained who I was and the property I was interested in. She said she was currently at at the Loomenocity Festival. I was totally ok with this and said for her to feel free to contact me later in the week. However, she kept asking me questions and probing such as Are you looking to rent or buy? What is the property address? By this line of questioning, I assumed she was prepared to talk. I didnt have the street # because I wasnt expecting her call so soon. So I grabbed my computer and logged back into my email and gave her the street #. After me going to the trouble of doing this, she rudely said Ill get back to you, I cant deal with this now or something to that effect. I was apalled at her rudeness and a bit shooken up honestly. It wasnt so much what she said but how she said it. Her tone was awful. It was though she was talking to me like I was a disgusting person. I couldnt understand why she would talk to a prospective buyer this way. It was as though I was interrupting her and that she thought I was someone else when she called my number back. In all my years, I never had a real estate agent be so nasty. Usually they are nice, professional and upbeat about the opportunity. Needless to say, as of today 8/6, she never called me back. The same night Sunday 8/3, I left a voicemail for the agent listed right above Loris. She called me back Monday 8/4 and profusely apologized over and over for not getting back to me Sunday. I told her no worries, I wouldnt expect a call on Sunday. The fact she was so apologetic showed me she took her job seriously and appreciated my business. Her mother fell off a horse and she was in the hospital all day which was why she didnt call me back. After all this, she STILL felt bad for not returning my call Sunday! She emailed me immediately after we got off the phone Monday and has already followed up with me via phone. I wanted to take the time to report this. Im sure Lori feels little old me is not a loss to her sales but it is people like me who make her business and it is my hope she will never treat anyone like this again. No one deserves to be treated like this. Not even Lori. Thank You. -Ms. White
