My name is Lisa Sullivan. Growing up I had two career goals in life, one was to become a teacher and the other was to get involved in real estate. Knowing it would take longer to become a teacher, I took that path first, finished my degrees, and I am now ready to get started on my second adventure. Growing up in Wayne county, and later living in Cabell county, has made me well versed in these two areas. I am, however, always up for adventure and excited to explore new areas with clients to help find their perfect home. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Decide whether you want to finance using a loan or cash. If financing, speak with your lending institution about becoming pre-qualified for a loan. For a cash transaction, get with your bank and get proof of funding letter ready. Feel free to talk to me about this important step, it can help produce a successful offer!
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Make your home look as inviting as possible, but wait on any remodels/updates until you have a conversation with your Realtor about return on your investment. A Realtor can give advice to consider when you're wondering whether or not you should consider providing an allowance at closing for certain items.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?

4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
They've all been good experiences. The most recent transaction involved helping a young family find and put in an offer on a property. They were serious and pre-qualified through a local loan agency. When they submitted a strong offer highlighting their buying power, it was accepted!
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I have a passion for helping people find their perfect property and navigating the process to get there. The search can be long, but finding the right place is exciting! Closings are something every client/agent looks forward to, as well.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I'm a licensed WV teacher in addition to being a licensed WV Realtor and member of the National Board of Realtors. I hold a BA in Secondary Education and an MA in Special Education, both from Marshall. I have worked with students in the WV public education system for over 15 years and continue to serve the community through teaching our students.
