About Lindy Patterson

I specialize in new and existing home sales as well as historic renovation projects in Richmond and the surrounding areas. I've resided in Virginia (Chesterfield, Richmond and now Hanover) for over 30 years and I have extensive knowledge of the different area neighborhoods and counties. Now a resident in Hanover county, my family and I enjoy living in Ashland, "The Center of the Universe!" I take the time to understand my clients' unique needs and requirements in buying and selling homes. After graduation from Ohio University, I enjoyed a successful sales career at ADP and launched into software and medical sales prior to beginning my career in real estate. Additionally, I have experience in both commercial and residential real estate: I worked for Porter Realty as a commercial property Realtor prior to my switch to residential sales at Hometown Realty in 2011. Beginning in 2001, I began purchasing and renovating several historical properties in the Richmond area, (where I developed my love for real estate!) I offer valuable knowledge in the areas of purchasing investment properties, historic renovation, renovation financing, historic tax credits and property management. I work with a wide range of clients, from first-time home buyers to seasoned investors and always make my clients' individual needs a priority. In my real estate practice I am known for my honesty, strong work ethic, consistent communication with clients, and effective negotiation skills. Lindy was a listing agent for a home our former agent showed us. She was so kind and knew so much about the area that we ended up asking her to be our buying agent. We had a long checklist of things we wanted in our new home and Lindy was very patient. The home we ended up purchasing was never even listed and we were the only ones who had a chance to look at it. Lindy is very knowledgeable about the area as well as the options buyers and sellers have. She walked us through the whole process and was a great advocate for us as buyers. If we ever sold our home, there is no one I would trust more.

Lindy looks out for your interest. She has a lot of knowledge and know what to look for when buying a house. She walks you through every step of the way and is fast to call and text you back. She is a great negotiator and saved us thousands of dollars. If the house is a great deal she would say so. She is honest and encouraged me to buy the house because she sees being gone soon. Lindy was a delight to work with, both selling our home and finding the perfect new home for us. I am going to break this review into two sections: Selling our home and buying our new home.SELLING OUR HOMEDuring the listing and buying process Lindy was extremely responsive and always seemed to have our best interest in mind, which was a breath of fresh air. Prior to listing our home for sale Lindy provided fantastic feedback on how we should stage the house for pictures and showing, which I feel was a major factor in driving traffic to our house and helping it sell so quickly. Once under contract, Lindy really went to bat for us on the negotiations with the new owner following the home inspection and repair addendum, as well as providing very reputable contractors to help complete the agreed upon repairs. BUYING OUR NEW HOMELindy has extensive knowledge of the area we wanted to move to and quickly arranged for multiple showings on the same day to make it more convenient for us with a newborn in tow.After we had decided on a home, Lindy provided valuable recommendations for our Offer and the conditions of the offer. I believe that if it were not for her insight we would not have closed on our wonderful new house.I would highly recommend Lindy to anyone in the market to buy or sell a home in the area.
