Linda Steil

<p>Meet Linda Steil (pronounced <i>style</i>). Born and raised south of Durango, CO, Linda spent her childhood vacations camping, hunting and skiing in Southwest Colorado. As a young adult, Linda longed for an action-packed lifestyle and moved to the thriving metropolis of Phoenix. While serving food and beverages poolside at a resort, a guest who was enjoying a prolonged stay, suggested to her a career in real estate. Something that had never occurred to Linda. She grew up in a home her parents lived in for over 50 years so buying and selling houses wasn't something she was familiar with. Linda jumped in head first and began her real estate career in 1993. After almost 10 years in the bustling Phoenix market, Linda met and married the father of her two children, Alex 19 and Olivia 15, and they relocated to Michigan for a job promotion. Always longing to return to the Southwest, Linda and her children moved to Montrose to be near grandparents and other family that had all settled here while they were living away. When Linda arrived in Montrose in the summer of 2009, the real estate market was flat. Linda put herself out in the community to get to know the people of Montrose and waited and watched for signs of life in the market. In 2012, she noticed the housing market picking up speed and dove in.
