Leslie Giles

Leslie Giles knows that every person and every place has a unique story, in life generally and real estate specifically. Born in Texas, her multicultural family tree includes French (Cajun), Spanish (New Mexican), native (Apache), and British roots - a truly all-American mix! After completing a B.A. at the University of Texas, Leslie worked part-time as a real estate appraiser's assistant; and in 1990 she obtained a Master of Architectural History degree at the University of Virginia. As a preservation professional, she has worked at state historic preservation offices in New York, Colorado, and Virginia; been an entrepreneurial consultant; and served for 8 years as the Executive Director of Historic Lexington Foundation. Leslie's unique expertise in architecture and historic preservation -- and her commitment to serving others -- now supports her clients in the complex world of real estate. In addition to being a REALTOR, Leslie is a homeowner, serial renovator, and real estate investor. She understands the practical aspects of acquiring and managing property, and is always prepared to share her knowledge with others. Leslie brings professional expertise in writing, architectural photography, interior design/staging, graphic design, and more to the marketing of her listings. An experienced negotiator, she also continually seeks out educational and training opportunities to better serve her clients. New to the area? She and her husband Dan Pezzoni (author of The Architecture of Historic Rockbridge) moved to Lexington in 1997; their two sons attended both city and county schools.
