Maybe my expectations are too high based on the volume of 5 star reviews or maybe my property was just not at the level in which Laurin felt obligated to give it her all. Aside from relatively fast responses, throughout the entire process I felt that Laurin was trying to do the bare minimum to close the deal. When listing the property she used an old photo from wintertime from some database instead of taking a nice picture during the listing time when all flowers were in bloom. She had received an offer but did not inform me until 24hrs later. She told me we were under contract on Friday and then the following Wednesday told me actually we were not under contract and buyers pulled out. Throughout the negotiations I felt like she wanted me to take the lower offers to just close the deal. I kindly asked her to check the apartment when the tenant moved out to ensure it was left in good condition as I live across the country and could not check on it. I followed up with her a week later to find out she still had not gone by. There was a misunderstanding with the keys on closing day and when she located them in instead of doing the right thing and bringing them to closing she said I will leave them at my office and the buyers can pick them up later. To top it all off after the deal finally closed I never heard from Laurin. Not a simple congratulations nothing.. I have worked with many realtors in the past and I would have to say this is the worst experience I have had. I will not be recommending Laurin and I hope she takes this as a wake up call to do better.
