After working with a Realtor for over 2 years and unsuccessfully trying to downsize, we did some soul-searching. Along with an underlying fear of change, the dread of the moving and the selling process of our existing home we were feeling defeated. Mobility issues were becoming more of a challenge so we needed to continue to move forward. During the inspection period we thought of cancelling the sale, unexpected problems came up. Some of which we initially thought were unnecessary but Laurie helped us quickly engage contractors that helped us clean, stage and make the changes she suggested. I don't often write reviews, and when I have, they were at the service provider's request, not so with Laurie Parris. My experience with her has made such a positive impact on my life that I want others to know if they choose to work with her, they will sleep well at night, confident they made the right decision. Last year Laurie helped my ex husband and I sell our home we had spent 12 years renovating. Following the death of my father, my mother agreed to sell her house and move to a new home with us that had a granny unit. Laurie is a high energy, knowledgeable real estate agent who helped us get our property on the market quickly which was critical as the holidays were approaching. She solicited input from her team and other brokers to carefully set the price which was challenging as there were no other comparable homes in the area that had acreage, a pool, a vineyard, and that was walking distance to downtown Sebastopol . Laurie hired a wonderful photographer and videographer whose pictures really captured the beauty and unique features of our property. She got them to quickly turn the pictures around on MLS and Zillow. This together with her proactively contacting other agents with potential interested clients led to nine appointments in the first four days and multiple offers by the fifth day that were over the asking price. Even after the sale, Laurie often checked in to see how the transition was going and presented us with brochures and a beautiful custom book of our estate. We are moving out of the state but sincerely wish Laurie could be there on the other end to find us a new home.
