Steve and I asked Laurie to help us look for a piece of property we could eventually build on. In her infinite wisdom, she brought us to a place in Mulino. This was October 2012. Steves jaw dropped as he looked at the barn and my jaw dropped as I looked at the house. We were standing at the kitchen counter and Laurie says to me this is your home. She was absolutely right but it didnt come easy. We made an offer, they countered, we countered back and then chickened out. After playing with the numbers we offered them their counter but they had decided not to sell. Laurie made it very clear to their Realtor, that we wanted this home and once they were ready to call her. She followed up multiple times, making sure they didnt forget us. Toward the end of January they called and accepted our offer. Our home was immediately put on the market. Laurie said I should paint the green walls neutral, which I didnt do, and the house didnt sell. We painted those walls and in a week received a full price offer. (always listen to your Realtors recommendations) What defines an exceptional Realtor is how they react and respond when things go sideways. Our buyers Realtor and lender were a nightmare, starting with changing the closing date SIX times. They just couldnt get their act together. Im not sure Ive ever seen so many paperwork changes. Laurie kept me calm when I was afraid we were going to lose the house we were buying, and getting so frustrated at the ineptness of the buyers lender, that I wanted to scream. We were trying to close this before Laurie had major surgery. Laurie tried to explain this to them, and they didnt care. So.....Laurie had her surgery, all 14 hours of it on a Friday. On Monday, the lender wants to close on Wednesday. This time she says its for sure. She needs the paperwork to change the date..again. Laurie gets her the paperwork, FROM HER HOSPITAL BED! Did we close Wednesday? No we did not. Didnt close Thursday either and the loan on our rate lock expired on Friday. More paperwork demanded of Laurie, that she immediately turned around, FROM HER HOSPITAL BED!! We finally closed at 5:30pm on Friday, April 17th. I know of no one else that would have done what Laurie did to get this deal to go through. Not only is she unbelievably wonderful, but her knowledge of the business is excellent. She is patient and understanding when youre ready to have a meltdown. We are so grateful and happy, she found and put us in our new home.

She made searching for a home so much fun- we both love to see houses and as soon as any new homes fitting our criteria popped up, she was setting up viewings and even taking us back to one property more than once.
