ZillowVERIFIEDThis is my family's 6th move and ... and our best. Finding a good real estate agent makes a world of difference and Laura Macon isn't just good - she is fabulous. Normally, agents put your name and what you want on an automated system that sends you homes to look at, based upon parameters you provide. Laura did that with us, after taking time to REALLY understand who we were, what we wanted and needed.She didn't stop there, as most agents do, she went into the market daily and personally selected, proactively and well, properties that were literally perfect for us. I have never been so impressed - the women is TIRELESS. She works all the time and truly cares. It doesn't end here either. You can call her literally 7 days a week at all hours of the day - we did. We had to buy a home from Illinois. Due to Covid and the market, we had to buy a 350K home WITHOUT EVER BEING IN IT. We needed someone we could trust, someone who understood the true condition of a home. Laura did excellent, lengthy video walk throughs of the three homes we were interested in. She is a long time realtor and has flipped homes herself so she "gets" construction - what is easy, what not, etc. She guided us every step of the way.We decided to put in an offer on the house we ended up purchasing. Laura did deep research on the area and the home we were interested in and came back to us with a well thought out offer strategy. She helps us negotiate the deal we were looking for in a very professional, personable manner. We ended up getting the home at a very fair price.Next, she helped us finding an inspection professional. The person she introduced us to, who we selected, was beyond thorough. He did a great job. Laura went through the final inspection report with us, helping us understand both the cost of any fixes needed and how we should negotiate further with the seller. Again, she came up with a well thought out strategy. The sellers, after reasonable negotiation, accepted our proposal.Oh, we aren't even nearly done yet. At that point, most realtors go into "coast" mode. They just wait for their checks. Not Laura. She helped us find good people to help us make improvements we wanted. She even found someone to let work folks in as necessary and watch our home until we got there (about a month after closing)!Here's the deal ... if all you want is someone to open the door to houses you've found mostly by yourself, there are lots of realtors who can help. If you want a tireless, professional who obviously cares, understands the market, construction and is truly willing to go beyond your expectations, I highly recommend Laura. My wife and I feel so lucky to have found her. I would be happy to talk to anyone about her and her skills.
