If you are looking to sell or buy a home in the Houston Metro Area, then Kimberly Stevens is your realtor. We tried to sell our house a couple of times before with no avail. We used realtors that we thought were good and based our decision to use those realtors on word of mouth and homes that have sold in our area that they represented. One of those realtors used pictures of the house that I had taken, which should have been an obvious sign, but we let them try to sell the home anyway. Both of those realtors failed in their attempt. So, we decided to give it another shot and based on reviews, we selected three realtors and decided to interview them. That was an important step that we didnt do on the first two attempts. Kimberly was the first to interview. She showed up 15 min early and sat in her car until our scheduled appointment time, and rang the doorbell almost at the exact minute of the appointment. She was very professional and she first wanted to look at the home. We took her on a tour and she took her time looking at the detail of the home, and the areas that needed work and the areas that would be good selling points. After the tour, we sat at the breakfast table to go over an analysis that she and her team had done on our market area. The market analysis was very detailed and was presented in a binder with dividers for each section and broken down to show comps, and where we should price our home based on that analysis. After going over the market analysis with us, she told us what she would list our house for and left the binder with us and we said our good-byes. The next realtor was a little late and walked in and didnt even really look at the house. He had a paper folder with some comps in it and stated that he would list the home for a higher price than what Kimberly has said she would list it for, and he guaranteed us that he could get it. He gave us some document to fill out and left. The third realtor never showed up. After my wife and I deliberated over who we should choose, we based the decision not on the number the realtor would list, but the effort put into the presentation. We called her and informed her that we wanted her to be our realtor. She was prompt, communicative, and passionate at every point of our dealings with her. She had a professional photographer come and take pictures of our home, and to be honest when the pictures were presented to us we didnt really want to move because of how beautiful the pictures were of our home. The pictures were that good. We decided on a listing date which was about a week after the photos were taken and she got to work. She set the listing on a Friday, and we just stayed out of the house for that entire weekend. We didnt hear from her much on Friday or Saturday, but she assured us that she was working. On Sunday, she presented FOUR offers on our home and two of them were above the asking price. So, in short, she sold our house over a weekend. After we accepted an offer the entire process after that went very smoothly and we closed about a month after we signed the offer. Now homeless, we decided to use her as our realtor for our new home. We wanted to build something new. She was with us every step of the way, making notes of the choice selections we made and kept us updated during the building process. I was able to work remotely and we were staying with family out of state, and the entire process was going fine until we received word that my office was being moved to a different area. We started looking for other homes in areas close to where my office was to be moved and send her a text message to let her know what was going on. SHE DIDNT HESITATE TO LET US KNOW SHE WAS THERE FOR US. We sent her the text on a Saturday to go and check out a couple of houses that we had picked out from HAR. She didnt give any excuses on why she couldnt go on a Saturday, she responded with, aEURoeSounds good, the offices usually open at 10 so Ill be headed out shortly to head over that way.aEUR?. She represented us while talking with the builder and took videos of the entire home. After my wife and I looked at the videos and researching the area, I asked her to make sure that we would be able to close by a specific date and she was able to negotiate that and about $5K reduction from the asking price of a newly built home. What else is there to say. I will tell you this. If we ever sell another home, we will use Kimberly. If we ever purchase another home, we will use Kimberly. If we ever purchase any real estate in Texas, we will use Kimberly. She and her team are absolutely AMAZING!!!
