Real Estate Broker Kimberly Shaeffer is a real estate broker for John L. Scott's Seattle Northeast office, located near the University of Washington. Prior to joining John L. Scott, Kimberly worked for one of the largest retail companies in the U.S., and also owned her own clothing boutique in Boston. Her experience runs the gamut of sales, marketing, business development, and buying and negotiating with large retailers and international brands. A northeast native, Kimberly was born in Maine and grew up as a second generation realtor. In 2011, Kimberly relocated to the northwest and began investing in real estate; soon after, she began to pursue her real estate license. Her love for the area, home design, architecture and appreciation for mid-century homes, has made Seattle the perfect fit for Kimberly and her family. Coming from a real estate family, Kimberly has seen and been part of hundreds of transactions in different parts of the U.S. Additionally, she has personal experience with cross-country moves and the stress involved with having a short timeframe to find a home and not feeling equipped with knowledge about the neighborhood she's moving to. With this in mind, Kimberly's goal is to be her clients' rock and hyper-local partner in the home buying or selling process. Kimberly works with all clientele, including first-time home buyers, relocating individuals and families, new construction builders and buyers, and people looking to buy personal homes, investment properties and luxury properties. Focusing on the Puget Sound region, Kimberly studies and researches local neighbors, schools and community groups to match her clients with the best properties and locations for their lifestyle. Additionally, she works on many home renovation and restoration projects, so if a client needs help fixing up their home prior to market or needs help renovating a home they just bought, Kimberly is able to connect clients to the right people for the job. Helping her clients have a smooth and successful transaction is Kimberly's goal. She uses her knowledge in negotiating, marketing and technology to ensure her clients have the best experience and all the tools needed for their real estate process. With her attention to detail and openness, she provides her clients with the support system needed when making a major real estate decision. Whether it's on the buying or selling side of the transaction, Kimberly has a passion to innovate and pioneer new ideas. Amazing staging and high-quality photos are a must for Kimberly - she wants homes she is listing to look like a magazine shoot. She also reaches out to local blogs, magazines, social media influencers and newspapers to help spread the word about her listings - her clients' homes have been featured on Curbed.com, nytimes.com and even have been printed in the New York Times. Outside of real estate, Kimberly is involved in her community and local co-op groups. She currently serves as the Seattle Parks and Rec Liaison / Co-op Committee Liaison for Victory Heights Cooperative Preschool. Additionally, she has a fondness for design, photography, antique cars and motorcycles, and exploring with her husband, little girl London and dog Beans. She loves spending time with friends, family, clients and meeting new people.
