Kevin was a consummate professional. He was able to answer all of my questions throughout the process (and there were a lot!), always responded within a few minutes of receiving a text or email, gave me great advice (his knowledge and experience of both the process and the area were outstanding), and in general, just made the entire buying process smooth and easy. He was also personable; I enjoyed talking story with him and our interactions in general. I think it is rare to find actually find a good real estate agent; Kevin is ultra-rare then because he is excellent! When I think about the Big Island, its not the beaches or the golf courses I think of, its the aloha spirit of the people. People who are real, honest, hard-working, and care about their neighbors and community. Why am I telling you this in a review of my realtor? Kevin Walmsley embodies the aloha spirit. I met Kevin seven years ago at an open house, the first day we arrived on the Big Island, thinking we might like to purchase in a year or so. Having sold real estate myself, I knew that this young realtor was holding an open house in part to find new clients; I wouldnt succumb to that trick! But right away Kevin showed that not only did he know how to connect with potential clients, he clearly was super smart, knew his facts, and was willing to do his research. Kevin helped us find our luxury condo five years ago, and when the time was right this winter, helped get it ready for market and sold it at a great price in record time. I was not able to come back on-island from the mainland, which could have been extremely difficult and stressful for the sale and move. Instead, Kevin was my resource and my rock throughout, arranging for the pre-inspection, the handyman, staging it over Facetime with me, and even finding me the best organizers/moving service ever, Ohana Organizers of Kona. Whatever needed to be done, he did it with no reminders needed, and never a complaint when there were tasks I needed him to get done because I was off-island. And, all this with compassion and a sense of humor that kept my spirits up about selling my aEURoehappy place.aEUR? When it came time for our review date, an exciting and busy day, Kevin also showed great calm under pressure and excellent negotiating skills. We had multiple offers, and Kevins patience and persistence paid off. We ended up not only with a great cash offer, but with wonderful buyers who kept the transaction simple and with a quick close, just what we all wanted. Kevin is not only a great realtor, but an asset to the community, and has my highest recommendation.
