Having already had Ken's team sell a property last year, it was an easy choice to go back to them for another sale. Despite a change in the market, Ken was very helpful in facilitating a great price on the house within a short turnaround time. He made thoughtful recommendations regarding staging and the photographer did a great job presenting the nice features of the house. In this very crazy real estate market, Ken got us through all of the insanity. He worked with us to find the perfect home and submit a bid that was accepted. Much of the work was done via Zoom and FaceTime, as we live in South Carolina. His associate, Bob Stigler, was very efficient, coordinating showings for properties that matched our search criteria with our daughter, who lives locally. Definitely recommend and would use again.

We had no experience in Wilmington being out-of-town buyers, and we only had a less than a week on the ground to scout potential neighborhoods. Bob and Ken Van Every, Bob's Broker, coordinated our dates with us and Bob made himself available every day we were in Wilmington. We provided Bob lists of homes we wanted to see. He coordinated all the showings and had a plan for each day of our stay maximizing our time. After a few days with Bob, we had narrowed our search down to a few neighborhoods that we liked. In the next few days we had seen every home we had any interest in at all that was on the market in those areas. In each home we saw, Bob provided a quick visual review of the property, his impressions of mechanical systems (heating, air, sump-pumps, basement drainage, electrical) and gave us a feeling of the pros and cons of each property and the surrounding area (parks, trails, highway access, shopping, etc). In the five days we were in town, we were not ready to make offers on any of the homes we saw, but we felt confident we had found the neighborhoods where we'd like to live and the types of homes we would expect to be able to purchase. We felt it was a hugely successful trip in large part because of Bob. I've returned once already to see a property in the area we were interested in buying and Bob made sure we were there on the first day it was available to be seen. To be clear, Bob is a showing specialist and doesn't do the negotiations so I couldn't give him stars for that. He is, however, someone you want by your side as you walk into a property.

Ken was a great choice for us to sell our home. He helped advise us on preparation, found tradespeople for us, and was always extremely responsive when we had questions at any point in the process. He was knowledgeable about the market conditions and so was able to give intelligent advice on pricing and the quality of offers. Our house looked great when we had it ready for market, and it sold in less than a week. The time until closing was a bit nerve-wracking for us -- waiting for inspections, etc -- but Ken was very calming and explained everything in as much detail as we needed to feel comfortable with the process. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
