Kate was a blessing in our home search process. I have heard so many horror stories of home buying and bad relators that it nearly put me off to the whole experience. But after a friend recommended Kate, my wife and I decided to give it a shot. It would be an understatement if we said that we were impressed by her knowledge and work ethic.Since Ive never worked a real estate job - nor bought a house before - I am not able to say with certainty how the process typically goes, or even an agents average work load. Though I can say I know what a hard days work looks like, and I can tell you that Kate puts in the effort to earn your satisfaction. Her knowledge of real estate and the insight she provided on the homes we visited was truly invaluable. With each house we walked into, Kate could help us see potential issues we may not have thought of and renovations that would suit our tastes, inform us on how likely it was for us to get a loan on the property, and even was able to point out the positives of the property based on our search criteria. This is to speak nothing of her tenacity in making sure things go as smoothly as possibleWe quickly became aware of the multi-layered process that comes with buying a home and the overwhelming feelings that often accompany it. But Kate did a stellar job of making sure everything was kept in order. There were times when she had to hound other realtors to make sure we could get into a house viewing or if an offer had been submitted properly. Even on short notice, we were always impressed with the amount of information she could give us on listings and pricings in the area we were looking.The biggest life saver for us was during closing, when we had to deal with the mortgage itself. Being first time home buyers, there was so much to figure out and understand, and the process could have been a much bigger nightmare had we not had Kate to help us every step of the way. Kate diligently worked to ensure the process went as smoothly as possible - advocating for us, making sure that promises were being fulfilled, and working as the middle person so we didnt have to worry about who to talk to or what to do next. She also helped us through the paperwork on the final closing day so we could understand everything we were signing and helped make it as painless as possible. We cannot recommend Kate highly enough; she is honest, knowledgeable, hardworking, kind, and sincere. One thing to remember about home buying: If you dont get the house you are currently looking at, then it was not meant to be; a better house that is more tailored to your needs is right around the corner.
