Kate was the best, after working with a realtor who didn't listen to our needs and just kept showing us properties that didn't fit what we were looking for we finally got fed up and just moved on. I found a listing Kate had put on zillow and contacted her and she was able to show us the house that same day. We loved the home and she helped us with every step of the process. She was very attentive and answered all of our questions promptly, unlike many other realtors we worked with. She wasn't pushy and was a gem to work with. We first met with Kate and Lina over two years ago when we started tossing around the idea of moving. We looked at a few houses and decided to hold off. In early September 2020 we got in touch with Kate and set up an appointment. She was just as pleasant as the first time around and came with comps and a whole marketing plan to sell our home of 32 years. We decided to use Douglas Elliman and Kate for the purchase of a new home as well. We listed our home on a Wednesday and by Sunday had 10 offers over selling price! Selling and purchasing at the same time is extremely stressful. We had some glitches along with way with our purchase and Kate was there to calm us (me!) down, mediate and get us through it all! Kate was honestly the best part of our process. As an LGBTQ+ couple buying in Long Island we felt so taken care of by her. She was super responsive to everything that we asked of her and more. Her extensive knowledge of Long Island and the home buying process made this journey so incredibly smooth. We used the NACA program and were initially quite worried about finding a realtor, but Kate agreed to work with us without even blinking. We provided her with our wants and needs and she came through with multiple houses and listings that fit our aesthetic. Kate was recommended by my brother in law, she helped him and his family buy their 1st home. We found a home that we loved and put an offer in, but we continued to look at other homes because it wasn't looking in our favor that we would get that home. For some reason Kate kept saying no worries guys I have a good feeling. And Kate was right, she called on a Wednesday at like 7pm and told us the seller accepted our offer.
