Prequalify with your preferred lender FIRST! If you don't have a preferred lender, get referrals from your Realtor. It does not hurt your credit to have one or two lenders give you quotes--find the best value and loan type for your needs.

Pricing and staging are key. Work with a trusted Realtor to determine a pricing strategy based on your specific market and your goals. Your Realtor should be an expert in your market, fully transparent, and of course be someone you trust with the largest investment most people make.

All types! A lot of 9-5 professionals of course but I have worked with bakers, trainers, someone who runs a dog rescue, and a lot of international clients. I also specialize in "high maintenance" clients who need things like anonymity, have language barriers, or just need some extra TLC. :)

Hard question. Each transaction is so unique. I am working with a buyer right now who has great "vision". She can walk into an old outdated home and see what she can do with it--that's always particularly fun, especially when I get to see the photos of the updates!

My husband and I used to go tour open houses for fun on weekends. When we both decided to leave corporate, that love of houses combined with our professional experience turned into getting our Real Estate licenses. Now we are 10 years in and I can't imagine another career.

I worked in the Private Wealth Management division of Goldman Sachs for years before leaving corporate. The skills and knowledge I picked up there are incredibly valuable in Real Estate. Fiduciary relationship guidelines, putting my client's needs first, and over the top customer service and communication all make a big difference in my client's experience buying or selling a home.
