1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Prequalification is essential. I also strongly encourage to use a local lender. You wouldnt have an out of state agent show you homes, why would you want to use an out of state bank who doesnt know the local market?

4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently called a "for sale by owner" and mentioned that I thought their asking price was too low. They agreed to let me list it for them and within 1 week, we had a full price cash offer that covered our commission and still put more money in the sellers pocket. I have always loved working with my hands. My extensive background in construction and historic preservation was the catalyst to get me involved in real estate.
