What clients say about this agent....
Johanna is the absolute best! She is outgoing, open and always makes herself available. She is the perfect balance of professional and friendly. I was shopping for my first house and had very specific needs. I had no idea what I was suppossed to do or look for; she guided me flawlessly. She listened carefully and patiently. Not once did we view a home that wasn't within my parameters, and we saw a lot of them! I recommend her to everyone looking for a place. The seller backed out on a few of the things initially agreed to; Johanna had my back and worked diligently on my behalf! Thank you!!
Thankful to work with Johanna on my search! As a first time home buyer, she went above and beyond with options, recommendations and even worked remote during her vacation to help close on my home. Jo knows the the St. Louis area better than anyone, it was a great experience. I'd recommend working with her and her team if you are in the market for your new home!
Johanna was my buyer's agent during the adventure of purchasing my first home; I couldn't have asked for a better agent. Her knowledge of Saint Louis neighborhoods was invaluable: she greatly informed my thinking on where I wanted to live. She got to know my preferences well and was great at coming up with listings to visit. We finally found the perfect place and viewed it on the first day it was on the market. Even though we showed up pretty early in the morning, my offer was the third or fourth in line that day (the place was /that/ amazing). One memorable thing about that day is me telling Johanna how high I would go on price and her actually talking me down a bit to make sure that I wouldn't overpay (as opposed to just making the higher offer and pocketing the extra commission). She got me through the ensuing bidding war, with me coming out on top. She was helpful after the purchase with general advice for a first time homebuyer as well.Fast forward a few years to the point where I have to move to a new city for work. After renting my place out for a year, I decided to sell. Once again, I found myself in the capable hands of Johanna Dueren. She made the selling process so easy, especially considering that I was 600 miles away throughout the entire ordeal. Once we had a serious offer, she took care of all the things that I was worried would require me to fly back to Saint Louis like coordinating all of the minor repairs and touch-ups requested by the buyers. I was expecting the process to be harder; I was still waiting for the next thing to do when I noticed a big sum of cash landing in my bank account and a note from Johanna telling me, "That's it!"Whether you're buying or selling, Johanna is a fantastic agent that will work with you to get the job done. I cant recommend her strongly enough!

I was a first time home buyer and Johanna did such a great job looking out for me as a client and gave me great advice about looking for homes as well as the loan process and home selection process. I thought she had great local knowledge of the neighborhoods I was looking at and really listened to what I wanted and delivered! Also, when I was interacting with the Circa Properties office, all of the staff was also very helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend her and Circa Properties to any family/friends that were looking for a new home!
At the time I started looking at houses, I did not really expect to actually buy one--I had a vague opportunity to do so, but didn't really expect to take it. As such, I was wary of getting a realtor involved at all, but of course if you want to see the inside of a property you pretty much have to. After several months of looking at listings on and off on my own, eventually I amassed a list of three houses I liked and was ready to take the step on actually going to see. One of those three turned out to have been recently put under contract, which brought me down to two options. Meanwhile, I didn't want to be shown houses I didn't ask to see, nor bothered all of the time with stuff other types of sellers tend to do when they think they have a lead. This all is to say, I was probably a fairly low maintenance client, but also the likelihood of actually selling me a house was slight. A low maintenance but likely total waste of time client, that is.When I eventually connected with Johanna, I made this as clear as I could. She showed me the two houses I liked, and then left me alone (as I asked her to) while I hemmed and hawed about it for a while longer. I liked both of the houses that I saw, and so jumped through the hoops to get pre-approved through a lender (the one Johanna recommended was excellent). All the while Johanna remained patient; quick to answer any questions I had (which were usually stupid--this was my first experience in buying a house), but not being annoying with other potential houses or pressuring me to make a decision or anything like that.I did wind up buying one of those two houses, and the experience remained the same--she was very thorough and helpful, but didn't ever bother me. All of her recommendations proved to be useful and wise (in terms of what I should do leading up to closing, recommendations regarding insurance and inspections, that kind of thing), and in general I am very pleased with the experience. I'm still kind of amazed that she, you know, actually listened to my wants and needs and acted accordingly.
Johanna was our realtor for our first home purchase. I'd been researching homes for almost a year with my now wife. We were a little overwhelmed with all the range of properties and "must haves" we thought we needed. Johanna was an incredibly helpful agent, answering every question I had and some I didn't think to ask. We enjoyed working with her so much that we've referred her to my sibling (who bought a home through her) and two different couples (one buying and one selling then buying) who have nothing but excellent things to say about her. It's nice to find someone who is genuinely concerned that you get what you want in a home, not just a commission.
There are literally not enough positive phrases and words in the English language to use to accurately describe the time we worked with Jo. From the start she made us comfortable and excited about buying a home. She is very knowledgeable in the area of Saint Louis, and has a lot of experience and know how. She never once steered us wrong, and had a lot of contacts and suggestions for people to use as far as lender, inspection, home owners insurance, etc. But the bottom line is, she is NOT PUSHY at all. She was always readily available with suggestions and input when asked, but never pushing for us to use someone that she suggested or knew. She was always available to us anytime of the day or night if we had questions, concerns, etc. From text message, to E-Mail, to Phone calls; she was there for us. No matter how many clients she might have been juggling, it was never known to us because we always were made to feel like a top priority. She never kept us in the dark about anything that was going on. She promised a date to close, and that date happened, even with some repairs that needed to get done before we could move in, and maybe a few repairs to the exterior of the house after we moved in. But she handled all of the details, and people just showed up and did the work for us. She is a calm and collected individual, but is not afraid to yell a little to get things done right for her clients. As stressful as buying a first home can be, Jo made this as stress free as possible. She is an amazing person who is awesome at her job, and has a great team of people behind here that helped us immensely as well. So when you hear that the Realtor only works for the sellers, I am going to have to disagree. Never once did I feel like Jo wasn't working for us, and that she was always working hard to get us into our amazing first home, on our terms! Our only regret? That she is so talented at her job and she found us our dream home so quickly, that we didn't get to spend more time working with her and looking at houses.
We really enjoyed working with Joanna and appreciated her professionalism and the clarity she brought to the process. Thanks to her we have the house of our dreams!
