Once we made our decision to move Joel helped us locate a broker back east to sell our previous house. Since Joel had taken the time to get to know us, we were able to proceed safely during the height of the pandemic. My fiance took a job in the Ogden area, bringing us to Utah from out of state. Being first time home buyers we were in over our heads. Luckily, a coworker recommended Joel and Ann to us. We called, unannounced, one afternoon and were met with patience and understanding as we began to wrap our heads around the mountain of a task we appeared to have set out on. Joel dedicated at least an hour helping us understand what to expect in the home buying process.After that first call, we later had a video conference and there we met Ann, in addition to Joel. This was an incredibly helpful session where they both took the time to explain us through the process, answered our questions as we went, and set up our exploration of home listings so we could begin house hunting in earnest via their website portal. We found this incredibly useful, especially after Joel and Ann set us up with a search criteria and daily emails of all the new, back up, and under contract homes. Joel even set us up with an app on our phones that allowed us to see houses as they came on the market which was incredibly useful given the intensity of the competition we found ourselves in.With our house hunting trips planned out and a list of homes gleaned from their website MLS portal, we set out on what we thought was a fairly demanding schedule of showings. Ann and Joel made it seem easy. They set up the showings for us and off we went, a few times adding in one or two last minute houses to the showing schedule the night before. Their advice for writing up offers and working with us as we struggled to come to terms with the ferociously competitive market this season was very encouraging. While our first few offers just werent competitive enough, Joel and Ann helped us narrow in on what this seasons competition ended up demanding. We were able to keep pace with fast offers- sellers often stopped accepting offers after 5 days on the market! Ann and Joel were very prompt in responding to our questions as we wrestled with the details. Phone calls, texts, and emails flew. Once our offer was accepted on the perfect home, in the perfect area, with the perfect yard, those emails, texts, and phone calls continued through due diligence and final, on-time closing. The team worked with both my fiance, who was in town, and myself remotely to complete this roller coaster of our home buying process. We couldnt have done it without them! After a week in the new home now, the excitement of owning a home that seemed forever on the horizon is now a reality. While it was stressful to get here, were glad we had the help of Ann and Joel to make it happen!

Valee is great to work with. She is kind and really takes her time to get to know what her clients want and need in a house.
