Do your research. Hire a Realtor who works full-time, is knowledgeable and that responds quickly to your calls, text and emails. If you don't like them in the beginning, you will hate them by the end. Then, once you have selected your Realtor, trust them, listen to them, and believe in the team you have selected for this major investment.

Interview AT LEAST 3 Realtors. I have a list of 20 questions to ask when interviewing Realtors to list your home. This is not a job to trust to your sisters boyfriend, who just got licensed, or someone you "feel obligated" to. This is the job for a true professional. Once you select your listing agent, listen to them, and trust that they are working for your best interest, even if you don't like what they have to say!

I have worked with so many different clients; lots of military and vets, first time home buyers, and so many families who are relocating to the area. I have worked with with grieving families after a death and couples going through a divorce. Sometimes moving is for good things, and sometimes it's not. Whatever the situation, I always take the time to get to know the individual circumstances and what is most important for each client. My love language is Act of Service, it genuinely makes me happy to help others.

I had a really difficult transaction this year. A large piece of rural land, with no access and so many ups and downs. This was acreage with several different buildings including accessory dwellings and over 20 years of accumulated stuff and an older couple moving closer to family. We had to create access to the property, getting neighbors who had lived on the street for 50 plus years to agree, we had to overcome significant appraisal opportunities, surveyor issues, post occupancy, a title company switch half way through, and set up an auction to get rid of the sellers stuff, as well as find homes for the pets they could not take with them. This was quite a lot, however, I learned a lot and was able to come up with solutions as the issues arose. The seller would call me as ask if we were going to close. Sometimes I would have to say, "I don't know." Eventually we got it done, and EVERYONE involved was happy in the end, mostly the seller, who was a friends parent.

I started my Real Estate career working for a Real Estate attorney. A friend of mind needed help getting her office organized, it eventually turned into a full time position processing buyer, seller and refinancing transactions. I was given a crash course in all things real estate and quickly fell in love.
