Every buyers' needs are different. And there are no two homes that are the same. There will never be a "perfect" house out there for you and your search will go a lot easier once you understand that. A house is made into a home once you settle in. Also, choose your Realtor wisely. Choose someone who has a system in place, teaches you about the transaction process, and gives you the time you deserve. There are over 2,700 Realtors in our area and 80% of them are 'fly by the seat of their pants' type Realtors who do a couple of sales a year. That's not the type of Agent you want to represent you in one of the largest transactions of your life.

This may sound blunt, but you have to start thinking of the HOUSE as a product you have to market, rather than your home. Getting rid of the attachment you feel to the product you're working on to get ready to list will make the process a lot easier. Choose your agent wisely by holding agent interviews. Ask questions about their past sales experience and their marketing process. Most Agents do the 3 P's of Real Estate: Put a sign in your yard, Put it in the MLS, and Pray that it sells. Looks for an agent who will do all of those things, but also for one who Proactively looks for buyers and has a team of agents who do the same. You will get more money and have a better experience with agents who have a system like this.

I've worked with clients who are purchasing their first home at 21 all the way to the age of 75 and all in between. I've helped buyer and sellers in all price ranges from 100k to 1,250,000. I understand the market and I understand how to explain the market in all price ranges.

I have several recently. I helped a client purchase a lot that was listed at 20k and negotiated a deal with 50% off. I recently closed on a deal that was a home for an out of state doctor who is moving near here for work purchase a stellar home at a great price but once the inspections were done there were foundation issues, drainage problems, plumbing leaks, the works. I helped negotiated all repairs paid for and a little extra towards closing costs. The client is super happy.

I use to sell phonebook ads with Names and Numbers and I loved it. I sold a couple of ads to some Realtors and they convinced me to get my license. I haven't turned back since. I absolutely love what I do and the best part about it is the new relationships with each and every deal.
