Short story; Melissa is a highly skilled professional, incredibly invested in her clients and committed to their success through every layer of the process. Long story; Our family had 2 inherited properties to sell. The respective heirs of the estate lived in Virginia (in the property) and Washington state. The property itself was 80 years old and unorthodox in its construction. The heirs were highly emotional about selling their childhood home, confused by the complicated nature of the sale, and needed maximum financial value to survive the relocation. They connected with Melissa through a family friend and knew right away they were in great hands. She took the reins completely, assessing, photographing, and listing the property within days, generating viewings within the first week. From there, she moved fast, working with the city to define the property further, overcoming countless obstacles via the propertys age and subsequent legalities, and managing both sides tight timelines. Throughout all this, and it went a lot longer than anyone expected, she never lost patience or focus, and stayed in constant communication despite the time difference. That, above all, went the furthest in our opinion of her. The situation was tough on all, even scary at times, but she was always there, day, night, and weekend, with answers, a plan, and sometimes just an emotional ear. Youd be hard-pressed to find others in this industry (or any) that care as much as Melissa about their clients, putting them before herself, and giving whatever she can to make sure they are safeguarded and ultimately happy. In the end, we walked away with more than we had planned to get from the properties, and sold to someone who will refresh the property and live there, not just demolish and rebuild. This was not a requirement but a nice balm for the attachment loss of the home. In closing, Melissa took on a challenging sale with a low return but made us feel like royalty throughout, and realized value where not many others could. Anyone in her market should contact Melissa, they won't regret it.
