What clients say about this agent....
Not trustworthy!I worked with Jason Holmes to purchase a duplex in San Rafael in March 2018, and it turned out to be nightmare. He knows the realty business very well and pushes the boundaries of the laws for his personal benefits but not for his client's. Here is why:1) Disclosure Issue: He sent one of the disclosure forms for me to sign on the day of closing escrow that there was a break-in in the property in the past. He blames the listing agent and others and doesn't take the responsibility.2) Open Permit Issue: There is an open permit issue around the decks and stairs. The seller didn't want to deal with it. During escrow before removing contingency, he said that I can sell the decks "as is" and didn't clearly inform me of the implication of not having the seller pull the permit on decks and stairs during negotiating. In the meantime, his home inspector praised on the decks out loud, "the decks are well built!". As matter of fact, I found out later that the decks and stairs got potential safety issues and learned that as new owner I am required to pull the retro active permit now and bring everything up to the code. 3) Violation of Privacy: He included private information of other client of his in one of the disclosure forms that he asked me to sign. This is my first home buying experience in Marin county, I relied on Jason to guide me and help me to make sound decision for every steps of the buying process. He failed to fulfill that contract in my view. Working with him and his home inspector led me to making compromised decisions in negotiating price with seller. I would be extra careful if you have to work with him to buy or sell as you don't know where the traps are. Based on my experience, it is highly unlikely he will guide you to light particularly if it is a big ticket item that would break a deal.

Jason helped me to buy condo in Marin. He is knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. He was extremely responsive 7 days a week. He did not waste any time to send me info on homes he knew i would not like. Buying home in Marin was stressful for me. Jason did his best to relief my stress and make it nicer experience for me. He made it no pressure buying process. And he is trustworthy. You can trust his word. My friend at work recommended Jason and I am glad I have met him.
Jason located the perfect home for us in Marin County. It was just what we were looking for. Two years, later when we moved to Southern California, he worked to sell our home. Our beautiful home went to another happy couple.
Jason knows Marin county better than anyone we spoke with, he showed us what we were looking for, provided honest opinions, and when it came time to negotiating, he saved me about $35K. Jason and I have kept in touch, he is a resource when I need a contractor, electrician, plumber, and he has now helped several of my friends buying their first homes. Finally, when working with others, I need people who are pros at communicating and setting expectations. Jason exceeded my expectations.

I've had a few realtors in my lifetime, and he is by far, hands down, the absolute best one I've ever had, and could ever imagine having. Besides just be a great and fun person to have with you while you look at your future home, he brings A LOT of knowledge about everything from the area to potential problems to ways to remodel to every little thing you would ever want to know about properties. On top of that, he always has your back and will fight for you, and he's always on time and on top of everything in the process. Buying a home with him was such an easy and relatively stress free process. I can't recommend him enough. He's just an awesome real estate agent and we're so glad we chose to work with him, and for any potential future endeavors.
We had been planning a move back to Marin county from Utah for several years. We contacted Jason early on and he patiently worked with us during that time to find us the perfect place, never losing his enthusiasm or optimism that we would finally get the house we wanted. Despite the lengthy time period in our search we always felt that we were Jason's first priority. We were always impressed with his knowledge, professional savvy and, in particular, his commitment to our search for a home in a very difficult market. We are experienced homebuyers and have worked with many realtors in some 40 odd years of buying homes. Jason has been, by far, one of the best realtors we have ever worked with and we would not hesitate in giving him the highest possible recommendation.
We have been known and worked with Jason for several years. He helped us buy two properties and has helped us with our other investment property. If we ever sell any properties, it will be with Jason. He is professional and very knowledgeable of the market and all the players. He is always available when we need his assistance. We appreciated his referral of an excellent lender to get us pre-approved with very short notice. He has a great list of vendors who do an excellent job for a reasonable price. He keeps us informed and looks out for our best interests. He is an expert at diffusing stressful circumstances and finding a solution that both sides are comfortable with. We are very happy to have Jason as our real estate agent representing us with our real estate transactions. He is a good guy and a pleasure to work with.
We've been working with Jason to purchase a home for the past 6 weeks and he has been, in a word, phenomenal. As first time buyers, we have exactly no experience or knowledge of what's "normal" or customary in this process, and Jason was available and eager to answer all of our questions, calm all of our worries and explain all of the issues that have arisen. He's so accessible and so knowledgeable about the area and properties; we felt like his top priority. When viewing properties, he has an eye for highlighting the good and the bad, as well as the cost impact that goes with the bad. I've already referred him to friends, and I intend to do so again every chance I get in the future.
