Katrena was fantastic from start to finish. Not only did she sell our property for the amount we had hoped for, but she really worked hard on the presale process. I do not live in the area and she managed the process from start to finish. She helped untangle an unexpected title issue, and recommended competent legal advisors. Katrena Prior with Maddox Realty was recommended to me by a coworker that had nothing but good things to say about her. After meeting her I knew she was the right person for the job in aiding my brother and I through the process of selling our fathers home as he had to move into a carehome due to medical issues. I couldnt agree more with my coworker after the full process of getting the house on the market and sold in a very timely matter. As soon as she saw the house she had a vision and a full plan on how to market it from what should be done to it to make it appealing to show to potential buyers, getting the inspections completed, and how to market it with a planned timeline. Everything was seamless and pretty much on schedule. She takes her job serious and is very professional about it but at the same time she is very personal sondeal with and treats your family and home as if it was parts of hers. tl;dr Do yourself a favor and stop looking. I highly doubt you will find an agent better than Katrena Prior. Initial Impressions I first met Katrena in person when she was helping my parents look for a new place. She had already earned a very favorable opinion from them, and they are not easy to please. I was tagging along to offer my viewpoint to my parents and while chatting casually to Katrena, I mentioned that we would soon be selling our home and buying elsewhere. Any other agent in the world would have asked if we had representation (which we didnt) and pushed their card into my hands. Not Katrena. She was there for my parents, not herself, so her focus remained firmly on the task at hand. This focus on her clients' needs became a dominant theme throughout our relationship with Katrena. I watched from the sidelines as she quarterbacked two very smooth transactions, first selling my parents home and then helping them buy another. They got more than they had hoped when they sold and a fair price for their new place without getting into a bidding war. Our Experience When it came time for us to sell our home and buy a new one, Katrena was the obvious first stop. She even shopped for additional quotes unprompted and saved us significant money. aEURc Negotiation Skills aEUR" She is a truly gifted negotiator and has a knack for reading people. She got us way (I mean WAY) more than we had hoped for our home and then turned around and helped us get the perfect place for a very competitive price. Some might argue this was luck, but shes now four-for-four between my parents and us. As she puts it, she didnt make the rules, but she knows how to play the game. Final Thoughts The relationship goes way beyond the sale or purchase. She is happy and willing to provide ongoing support if you ever need a vendor recommendation or advice about the home. Its truly like having a friend whos a realtor that you can always reach out to for suggestions. Needless to say, we will be calling Katrena first if we ever sell our home. However, we are so happy with our new home that I suspect she will sadly be long retired by the time we require her services again.
