1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Get prequalified for a loan by shopping a few lenders, don't just go to your bank, contact lenders recommended to you by your agent. Also check online lenders like quicken loans and lending tree as they try to be competitive. Check for the lower interest rates and lower closing costs and also see who has the loan that best suits your needs!
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
The best way to increase value is to paint the home if needed, a nice pleasant neutral color is always a good choice.
Do consider hiring a person to "deep clean" the home for a fresh appearance. Also, get rid of old or discolored drapery! Clean the windows if they have not been clean in a while. Get a professional real estate agent to walk through the home and give you advice on a one to one basis to get the best suggestions on the appearance of the home so buyers get a good first impression. Make sure to replace any light bulbs not working. Clean the air filter and edge that driveway for a clean curb appeal. Do use a professional agent to sell the home, you will net more money and it will take all the work and liability off of you!
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
I sell homes for all types of sellers, whether they need to sell quickly or take time to transition to another home. I work with all types of buyers and investors and I have seen and dealt with every situation. I also work with probate sales to help the heirs find solutions to getting their family home cleaned and ready for sale with my team of vendors, contractors, estate sales persons.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I find the solutions to get my sellers the most for their home. My marketing and property descriptions bring just the right buyer. I had a unique custom home with gorgeous decor, just the mention that the home looked like it belonged in 'Southern Living Magazine' brought more than one buyer willing to pay top price.. it sold at top dollar very quickly!
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I was young when I started in real estate I quickly fell in love with the business! I love homes. I was an interior designer with Ethan Allen and won many sales awards there, even sold more nationally one month than any other associate for the whole year! Because of my design experience, I do add some help in design and in staging a home for sale.
I also worked with the nations largest builder, Lennar Homes, as a sales person and won monthly awards and bonuses for performance. I just enjoy the day to day challenges and I like to make my clients happy!
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I am an excellent advertiser, with creative writing my marketing skills have become more important. My individual home facebook pages allow me to boost posts to those 'likely to move' and other specific demographics. I excel in writing ads. I have always loved using great photos to add value and to create the emotional content!
