I highly recommend Jami Rankin as a realtor. My husband and I found Jami through reviews, and after our experience with her we feel compelled to share. Let me start with a disclaimer. We came to Jami after a bad real estate experience. We were nervous to enter the home buying market after our experience, and we were not overly confident that we would feel comfortable buying in unusual market conditions. We talked up-front about our previous experience with Jami, and she understood it would influence our home buying process. Jami never lost sight of this. She was honest and transparent throughout our two-year journey to buy a home, and ultimately, we recognized we were in good hands. Jami Rankin is a trustworthy partner in your home buying process. When you work with Jami you can expect the following: 1. Experienced. Jami brings to the table years of experience. Her experience comes from working in different states through different market conditions with a wide range of clients. There is very little Jami has not experienced in her career, and she uses that experience to guide you through the process. 2. DMV Informed. Jami knows the area. Jami has worked throughout the DMV, and it shows. She is open to providing pros and cons to different locations, and she takes into consideration all of your buying needs. I was not exaggerating when I said it took 2 years for us to find a house. Jami never gave up on us. She never doubted that we would find what we loved, and she reminded us of this through all our disappointments. 5. #1 Advocate. This the most important attribute Jami provides. She is hands down, your best advocate. Jami will tell you what you need to know. Jami is not just out for commission. She is committed to you as a client, and she will protect your interests. The real estate market is complex to navigate, and there are many obstacles that could create long-term costs for you as a buyer. With Jami, you can trust that she has your back. She will tell you when you should be skeptical or when something is not in your best interest. She will be transparent and clear, so you know your risks and can make informed decisions. We were so impressed with Jami from the very moment we came across her listing - she was so responsive and enthusiastic that we decided to stick with her. She instantly understood our preferences with regard to location, style, and accessibility as soon as they were explained, and she worked hard to keep us up-to-date with the changing dynamics of a fluctuating, unstable post-pandemic market (for example, warning us if she felt a house would go into a "bidding war," and anticipated dates of others making offers.) Ultimately, when it came to the seller we closed with, she was masterful in helping to negotiate with a difficult personality and extenuating COVID circumstances with regard to inspection, home repairs, etc. Every estimate she gave us when it came to repairs, appraisal, etc. were spot-on, and we used almost all of her follow-on recommendations for painters, plumbers, cleaners, movers, etc. We were so impressed with her knowledge of the area, knowledge of home repairs/maintenance/conditions, things to look out for when viewing homes in person, and she even generously gave us some very helpful closing gifts to celebrate! Our young daughter loved her as well. I would highly recommend this realtor to any of our close friends, she works very hard and obviously takes pride in her job.
