I’ve personally worked with all types of clients. Everyone from first-time buyers, Veterans, experienced sellers, relocations and Investors.

A Veteran and his family were relocating from Alabama to Nebraska. They had purchased a home in Alabama which needed to be sold to restore VA benefits plus they had a tight deadline before reporting to his new position. Their Alabama REALTOR insisted the couple contact me. I met with them via Zoom to discuss their needs/wants in the Omaha area, their travel schedule, the sale of the existing home, timeline, and loan parameters. The following weekend, they arrived in Omaha. We toured four properties, taking breaks as the day progressed. The third property spoke to them in such a way, we had a second viewing that evening. My Veteran had to return to Alabama the next day. His bride and toddler remained in the area, so I took some time to show her around. After a few days, she called to tell me they could stop thinking about that third property and wanted to know if it was still available. As luck would have it, it was. That afternoon we went to do a third showing of the property and we met by the owner who was completing a few renovation projects. He was such a wonderful and gracious man who took the time to talk with my client about her family and their relocation. I submitted a contract that afternoon which was immediately accepted. The seller appreciated that I was representing the buyers as their REALTOR and Mortgage Loan Originator. We communicated often and timed our closing to allow my Veterans benefits to restore. As a surprise gift, the seller had a new privacy fence installed so my buyer’s toddler could enjoy the backyard. Communication, honesty, and kindness. Such a beautiful transaction completed with all parties completely happy.

I purchased my first home at age twenty and it was terrifying. I remember sitting in the lender’s office horrifically confused and scared. Emotionally, I was not prepared and felt roped into the situation by my fiancé at the time and his REALTOR uncle. The home we purchased was the uncles’ mothers. A home I was never fond of. I got into real estate years later with the mindset that consumers should be better educated and prepared for purchasing real estate. It with that same mindset that I also pursued my Mortgage Origination license and serve on the Omaha Area Board of REALTORS Education Committee.

I’m a huge proponent of education. As previously mentioned, I am a dual licensed Real Estate professional holding a REALTOR’S license and Mortgage Loan Origination license. This is quite rare in Nebraska. Additional industry designations and certifications for GRI (Graduate, REALTOR Institute), PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor), SFR (Short Sales Foreclosure), C2EX (Commitment to Excellence), NIFA (Nebraska Investment Finance Authority) and repeat recipient of the Nebraska REALTORS Association Mark of Excellence award winner. Further, I serve on the Omaha Area Board of REALTOR Education Committee, Nebraska REALTORS Home Buyer’s Assistance Foundation, Women’s Council of REALTORS.
