Will not return my $1000 deposit!!!! My daughter and I were buying a home together, unfortunately she was laid off due to the PANDEMIC along with her children unable to go back to school. Unfortunately we were unable to go through with the purchase of the house. When I asked about the return of my deposit I was told that we broke the contract. Ok so I guess we are to blame for Covid-19 and the loss of her job. I am an essential worker and still employed (Thank God) . Now to add more stress I am meeting with an attorney to dicuss my rights. I almost forgot to mention myself and the seller used the same agent!!!
