1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Let me put you in touch with a great lender that can help you figure out where your finances are, if you need to work on anything, and what you are comfortable paying. Together we can then focus on what area of town and what type of home will suite your needs best. It's very important to have an agent who can advocate for you needs, has great market knowledge, and can make the process and seamless one.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
I want to educate you on where the current state of the market is so that I can do my best to make sure you have good expectations for a positive outcome. This is also a great time to go through your home, clear out any unnecessary items, pack what you can, fix what can be fixed, and do a nice deep clean. We want to attract the most buyers possible and allow them the ability to feel comfortable and envision themselves in your home. And of course, don't overprice your home hoping to leave from to negotiate. Price at or just under market value to get the most interest in your home and potentially create a bidding war that will likely get you more than if you overprice.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
Second homeowners, investors, builders, first-time homeowners, and flippers.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I had just purchased my first home in my early twenties and I loved the process and negotiations that we went through, and then my agent wanted to hire me on as her assistant, which got me thinking about getting my license.
My father and grandfather were both licensed in other states as well and owned their own brokerage, so the business is in my blood you could say.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Though I have been in business for myself for 9 years, I spend an hour every Tuesday morning going through a contract class to continually learn about any changes, hidden clauses, and unique situations that may come up through a transaction. There are changes being made to the contracts so frequently that this is very important. As a REALTOR I also complete an Ethics training course every two years and continuing education as a REALTOR every four years.
