Grant Montney

Grant holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Masters of Business Administration from University of Saint Mary and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from University of Missouri - Kansas City. Prior to becoming a Realtor, he worked in the human resources field for the US Army Corps of Engineers, The Department of the Treasury and the Federal Aviation Administration, as well as being a private consultant. His efforts were concentrated on employee benefits, human resources systems, and labor relations where he developed a strong reputation for using technology and teaching others how to use it effectively. In addition to his career in human resources, Grant is also a veteran of the US Army, where he served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After getting married in 2006 his interest in real estate started when he bought and sold his first properties. He found himself interested in proper staging and smart marketing. Having worked in employee benefits, the contract side of real estate was very familiar as well. Moving to Florida allowed Grant the opportunity to change careers and has done extensive research on the neighborhoods and types of home available on the Gulf Coast and in the Central Florida region. He is well versed in the steps necessary to make a smooth transition to becoming a Floridian for those moving from out of state. Growing up in Lawrence, Kansas, he developed a life-long passion for sports, particularly the University of Kansas men's basketball team (Go Jayhawks!). He also is a fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. Grant is a member of the VFW and enjoys the many activities this area has to offer with his wife and two children. When not helping his customers find the homes of their dreams, you can find him at the softball field with his daughter, the soccer field with his son, exploring the culinary scene of Tampa with his wife, or relaxing at the beach.
