1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
You will want to have a trusted real estate agent by your side to explain the ins and outs of the process and help you make the best decisions at every step. Make sure to find an agent familiar with the area where you're planning on purchasing. The agent will have a better idea of proper expectations and realistic pricing. They will be well schooled on sales in the area and may even know about "pocket listings" or homes that are not on the market as of yet. Finding a Realtor is not hard. Finding a Realtor that will but in the hours and be dedicated to you and your purchase is an entirely different story.
You should find agents in the area you are searching within, as well as information on them such as the number of homes sold, client reviews, and years of experience. Make sure to interview at least a couple of agents, because working with the right agent may make the difference if you get your dream home... or not. They should have recommendations as to good lenders to get the best rate, reliable contractors to help you remodel or repair needs, good movers, and other companies that you will need.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Staging your home, which entails hiring a decorator to make your house aesthetically appealing to a prospective buyer, usually pays off big-time. On average, staged homes sell 88% faster and for 20% more than unstaged ones. This is a service offered by Algin Realty.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
All types. We sale land and homes. Remodels, new construction, farms and lake houses are just a few of or daily shows. We sale in all price ranges to. But not all areas. We are trusted neighborhood experts.... so we sale all types of properties...just not in all areas.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I sell a lot of "unlisted" property by finding owners that have an interest in selling their property but don't know how and buyers who are looking for property but can't find it in the "open market". We work with a lot of investors that renovate homes and we are able to bring buyers to them that don't have to fight others in "highest and best" wars. We have tons of referrals
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I started as an asset manager. So I learned more of the "back end" or how to analyse marketability and asset profitability. This is helpful to use when analyzing potential resale values and investment opportunities. New construction was part of our portfolio, so learning code and proper construction has proven to be an asset to our customers.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I am an "ABR" Accredited buyers representative.
