Saddled with the task of selling the home of a deceased relative, I contacted four realtors that did business in West Covina to find out what the house was worth & hear their plan for marketing the property. Of the four prospects, two (including Gilbert) provided me with plans that reflected a clear understanding of the market for the property and what it was worth. Due to estate considerations, the property could not be sold for 180 days. Coincidentally, the property needed a fresh coat of paint & other minor deferred maintenance. During that time, Gilbert periodically touched bases with me to check on how work was progressing. I did not hear from any of the other realtors until a week after I signed with Gilbert.When the house was ready to be listed, Gilbert presented me with a more detailed marketing plan, including a schedule for taking pictures, a video, internet listing, signs & open house. I was also pleased to hear that the market had ticked up and Gilberts proposed listing price was slightly higher than what was proposed earlier. The Open House was a HUGE success in that in two days, there were over seventy parties that toured the house and two days later Gilbert presented me with seven prequalified offers, including one for cash. We went back to the buyers & requested last & final offers and by the end of the week, accepted an offer nearly 7% higher than asking price! Although I did not go with the cash offer, closing went smoothly. Gilbert continued to exhibit his professionalism & diligence by keeping me abreast of each milestone as it brought us closer to the close. His knowledge & experience was particularly helpful dealing with a somewhat unresponsive condo association management company. Gilbert gets my highest recommendation for representation in any real estate transaction, as he truly brought his A game in terms of professionalism, diligence, motivation and being a Nice Guy to do business with!
