ZillowVERIFIEDWe came in from out of state to look at one home in Blacksburg, the one we ended up buying. We were matched up to Jake because our long time realtor in Raleigh NC "interviewed" realtors for us in all of the various mountainous areas that we were looking at, and I have to say that she did a great job in picking Jake. We are very hands-on and very meticulous, and she knew that Jake was perfect for us. Because we were looking at an usual property that also needed some work, it had been on the market for some time and it had already had considerable price reductions. Nevertheless, after discussions and input from Jake, he presented an offer even lower than the already-reduced asking price, and then later we got even more concessions from the seller after receiving both the initial and secondary inspections. We were leery of going in so strongly, but Jake asked us to trust him, he went in firm and stuck to his guns, and we got a very good result. Plus, he is just a really great and personable guy, as was Jake's boss, Frank, and Kelsey was helpful in the KW office. Jake also helped us out by meeting with inspectors at the house for secondary inspections after we had returned to Raleigh so that we didn't have to make so many return trips. We are now moved in and loving both the house and Blacksburg :-) The knock on stars for "local knowledge" is only because his recommendations for service providers in the area didn't work out well for us. But as he is in the business longer, I expect that his portfolio of recommendations will grow and get fine-tuned through customer's experiences.Thanks Jake, Kelsey and Frank!
