I am also an NMLS licensed mortgage loan originator with over 25 years of experience originating and funding millions of dollars of home and commercial mortgages. I teach Kaplan Professional students to earn their real estate license and lead a team of loan professionals to ensure that all of my clients get first-class treatment. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
I always, always want my clients to be confident and well prepared. So get a loan approval by a reputable lending entity. At Presto Home Loans, you will get all options to achieve the best loan possibilities. Second, research homes on my website and learn more about your area of interest. Knowledge is power!
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Get the home ready. Be prepared to spend and invest in fixing the home up Make it look like the home you want to move in as soon as possible. Staging helps. Professional consulting to upgrade the home pays off in the end. Money begets money, tenfold. Invest $ to get more $$ from the sale. Your energy and skills to sell a home will dovetail with the realtor expert, who will combine his or her skills to tailor-make a program to market the home and sell it ASAP!
Time is money after all!
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
From all walks of life, income groups, etc.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
All of my transactions are challenges and great. None have been a problem. As a problem solver, I make sure each deal works and closes smoothly. The best deal I can remember was when I sold a home with a mentally challenged homeowner. She was lucid most days, and other times she was incapacitated. Her husband helped guide her through the escrow and sale transaction. I was proud to have helped her sell this home without a hiccup, given the pressing issues at the time.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
After Stanford University, I entered the business school and found my calling. My father inspired me to buy and own real estate, in essence, to be a landlord.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I am a specialist and a professor of MBA business students. I teach real estate licensure to career individuals and I hold MBA, JD, Ph.D. terminal degrees. I may be overqualified to sell, but I am humbled at the individual challenges of every transaction I encounter. No advanced degree can prepare any realtor to face the reality of life, the challenges of families and raising children and others. Life is always a complex matter. Realtors must learn to be problem solvers, not just marketing gurus.
