About Eric Black

Eric was born in Columbia, MD and attended Howard County public schools. He attended James Madison University, majored in marketing, and has worked extensively in advertising. In 2003 he began what was to become an illustrious Real Estate career. He teamed up with The Creig Northrop Team of Long and Foster in 2008, and became a top producer of a team that went on to becoming the top producing team in the entire nation 3 times, which is the most in history. In that capacity he won many awards, including: Executive Club member, Rookie of the year, Top agent in Volume for the Carroll Office (2009); Directors Club member, Top agent in company for units, Top agent in units and volume for the Carroll Office (2010); Executive Club member, Top agent in Volume for the Carroll Office (2011); Platinum Club member (2012); Master's Club member, Top agent in units and volume for the Baltimore Office (2013 and 2014). Eric is also an experienced real estate investor, who owns several rental properties; and who bought, renovated and sold many other properties as well. In 2018, the Northrop Team of Long and Foster became Northrop Realty, a Long & Foster company. As part of that newly formed organization, Eric partnered with another very successful realtor, Jory Frankle, and together they formed their own team, now known as The Frankle and Black Team of Northrop Realty. Eric's business philosophy is quite simple. He believes in honesty, a quick response time, attentive follow-up, and looking out for his client's best interest. He makes good use of his expert negotiating skills, knowledge and experience to his client's best advantage. In short, Eric believes in treating everyone he deals with as his own family. In that regard, he is happily married, and a father of three. When not selling real estate, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, going to the movies, eating great food, and working out at CrossFit and Orange Theory.

Eric Black is a top-notch real estate agent. My husband and I were fortunate to have him represent us when we sold our home and bought our new home. Eric is knowledgeable, patient, and has an awesome team working for him. Our situation was unique in that we wanted to list very quickly and also buy a home shortly after selling. Nevertheless, Eric and his team quickly facilitated every step of this cumbersome process. During the selling process he respected our pricing requests and had a great sense of what the optimal price point would be for our home in the current market. We had some bad luck with an unprofessional prospective buyer, but took comfort in Erics ability to represent us with great professionalism and respect. Eventually we went under contract and were happy with the sale. Subsequent to the sale, we were in a time crunch to then find a new home for us in Montgomery County, an area that is extremely competitive. Nevertheless, Eric and his team assured us that we will find the perfect house, and fulfilled his promise. Nearly every weekend, one of Erics team-members patiently took us to various showings for homes that we were interested in. It didnt take long before we were under contract, thanks to Erics guidance and recommendations to us about how to make a competitive offer. He was very knowledgeable, yet never pressured us into a situation that we werent comfortable with. If it wasnt for his expertise in the real-estate market, we would not be in our dream house today!
