I am originally from Canada, but have lived in Mesa, Arizona for more than 20 years. My husband and I enjoy travelling throughout Arizona and exploring all that this great state has to offer. Arizona's culture, history, and beautiful scenery make this a great place to live (the warm winters are kind of nice too!). Through my experiences hunting for my own home, and those of my friends, I have learned a lot about what clients want from their realtor: honesty, personal care, timely communication, and to treat their client's money as if it is their own. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
First, find an agent you trust. One who will take the time to answer all your questions and help educate you on the process. Second, get pre-qualified. This will not only let you know what price range you should be looking at, but it will make you a strong buyer and allow you to make an offer when you find the right house.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Always hire an agent. With all the online tools, it is tempting to think one can do it on their own. For most of us a house is the largest investment we own, so hire an expert and maximize your profit. An agent knows the market, has the ability to advertise on a much broader scale, and will help you navigate the process. On average, a home owner makes more queen selling with an agent than they save by selling on their own. Also before selling to a direct purchase company, sagittal to and agent to compare pros, cons, and home values.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
First Time Home Buyers, Relocation (into and out of AZ), Probate Homes, Senior Citizens, Veterans, Non-US citizens, Snowbirds
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
Last year I helped a couple I had been working with for 3 years but their first home. When I met them they had low credit scores, huge debts and no savings. Along with one of my trusted lenders we came up with a plan. They worked hard, and stuck to their plan even when there were set backs. I stuck with them for advice and encouragement. Being able to hand over keys was such a great day!
