Understand that the market is constantly changing. Listen to people who are currently involved with the Real Estate market. Well meaning family members and friends will give you all kinds of advice, but so much of it is outdated and just not true anymore.

Be open to all types of financing. VA loans are completely different than they were years ago. You have the same negotiating power with a VA buyer as a conventional or FHA.

All kinds really. Veteran's, retirees, first type homebuyers, urban professionals. etc. I work with rural clients selling homes with land as well as urban buyers purchasing homes in a housing plan with an HOA.

I have a lot of great transactions and I have made a few friends for life. I guess I appreciate the ones where the client is as invested at closing on their home as I am.

I sold my house. Our first listing agent was completely computer challenged. She blamed everything on the computer. The computer was fine, she was just not using it.

I take as many training classes as I can fit in my schedule. I recently went to a conference in Las Vegas with many top producers from the Howard Hanna Real Estate group. It was 2 days of intense training about the current market. It taught me the best way to represent buyers and sellers in the current market.
