About Don Preisser

I am more than a real estate agent; I am an expert resource for my clients and a partner in finding the perfect home. My professional background in the corporate world coupled with years of experience in every aspect of the real estate industry. I spent years as a real estate investor, restoring historic homes in the Denver area and doing "scrape and new-builds". I have extensive knowledge in the custom and semi-custom building industry and pass this on to my clients to help them make fully informed decisions. "I believe a Realtor must be available, responsive, creative, and proactive." I successfully fulfill the diverse real estate needs of customers throughout Denver, and other luxury communities in the area. I help find the dream homes for my the first time buyers to my mid-level and luxury home clients. Because of my experience in investing and home rebuilding, I am able to offer added insight to my customers about the quality of construction of a home. I offer a wealth of business experience to my clients. Earning a B.S. degree in Economics from Kansas State University, I went on to various top-level positions at major corporations. During my years in the corporate world, I worked for an international grain export company (GARNAC) as a trader, a financial analyst for IBM in Boulder and then as head of corporate credit and collection for Ciber Inc., an international IT company. My professional background lends to my excellent organizational skills and strong planning, budgeting, business development, and negotiation capabilities. I am a church member, devoted father and active member of my community. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, skiing, reading, and volunteering my time coaching little league baseball. I do volunteer work for Children's Hospital where my dog Flip is part of their Pet RX program and makes children and parents happy by letting them pet him and taking those few precious moments of forgetting about reality. Flip loves his job and so do I. I am also a monthly blood donor with Bonfils where I donate whole blood and platelets for cancer patients.

We purchased our home in a very high sellers' market - multiple offers were being placed on homes, getting higher than asking price. The first home Don showed us was my "dream home", but even though we made a great offer, the sellers accepted a full cash offer with no inspection, and so we moved forward. Don showed us many homes and he had to do several offers, finally landing a home that we liked. Through the inspection some major issues were found. Literally while we were at the inspection, Don found out the cash buyers on our "dream home" backed out that day, just before closing. He helped us get out of our current contract and although we wanted to offer more on the dream home than Don felt we should, we listened to him. He was right, and our offer was accepted! I couldn't be more happy in Don's knowledge, quick response and keeping our best interest at heart, that we now have "Our Dream Home". He did such a great job, we will probably never need his services again, but I would highly recommend him to anyone looking!

Don helped me buy a new home and sell my previous home. The process began in the fall of 2017. What a professional, he was. He was not only very efficient but very effective. He found my new home within a week and we closed within two months. This was a very smooth process. Selling my home took a bit longer, but I was able to get a fair price, move out, have an estate sale and go on a vacation to Europe. This time frame was completed thanks to Don's hard work and business-like work ethic. I would highly recommend Don and will use him next time.

Don was helpful to us during our home selling experience. The market was hot in Denver so selling the home wasn't difficult but Don created a really beautiful brochure that I think helped create interest such that we received 2 offers within 3 days of listing. We ended up selling for about 5K above list.
