About Don Matheson

Don Matheson, CRS, GRI, ABR, CLHMS, CDPE, is the founder of The Matheson Team of RE/MAX Fine Properties. Canadian by birth, American by choice; Don emigrated to the US in 1995 and became a US Citizen on August 24, 2001. A licensed REALTOR(R) since 1976, both in Canada and Scottsdale, AZ, Don's top priority is to build trusting relationships with his clients. Since 2010, The Matheson Team has been consistently ranked in the top 1, 2, or 3 RE/MAX teams in Arizona, and in the top 100 RE/MAX teams in the United States. In 2015, Don was awarded the RE/MAX Luminary of Distinction award, joining the ranks of only 37 RE/MAX agents out of over 100,000 in the United States. To date, Don is still the only Arizona winner of this coveted award. Don attributes much of the team's success to their pioneering efforts on the Internet and looks for it to drive future growth. Don is a longtime Board Member of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, and a Board Member of his local community Homeowners Association. Don is also very involved in the Scottsdale community, supporting organizations such as Susan G Komen, Boys and Girls Club and Family Promise. In addition, he is proud to be a major donor at Scottsdale's Honor Health. Don is a skilled golfer with a 6 handicap and is an avid reader. Tracy was a wonderful realtor to work with and made our house hunting experience fun and enjoyable! We moved across the country and had very little knowledge about the different areas we were exploring so we relied on her expertise which was so helpful. She was also so patient with us and our two toddlers we had to bring along with us. She was funny, helpful, assertive. She was also honest about the different homes and areas we were exploring. Working with Alex was a very pleasant experience and there were no problems orchestrating the purchase of my home. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything throughout the process.During the initial home search he was very responsive and was always happy to discuss the new houses I found and offered his opinion on the pros and cons of the features of the house.Due to the current market and my search criteria, I was able to narrow my search down to a couple homes very quickly and ended up only viewing one in person. There were some difficulties on the sellers agents end, but Alex was very flexible in when he could come show me the home. The viewings didnt feel rushed and he had a lot of knowledge about maintenance of the homes, what to look for, certain quirks to look out for, etc.Once the home went under contract, Alex was a great help during the inspection process. He reviewed the reports and brought up questions to the inspector that I didnt even think of. After closing he was still attentive and checked in to make sure things were going well and if I still had questions.Overall Id highly recommend Alex to any home buyers.
