Months before we were ready to move to KC from out of state, we interviewed Diane and Jim Roberts, along with several other agents. Diane and Jim immediately impressed us with their friendly attitude, focus on our needs, and willingness to be flexible. Although they knew we werent going to be buying soon, they offered to show us some houses the next day so that we could get a feel for houses that were available in our price range, as well as see what neighborhoods we likes.They stayed in touch with us over the months and when the time came to buy, one or the other of them made themselves available on our schedule and spent hours showing us many houses When we wanted to extend our search outside Johnson County, they were willing to do so. Although they weren't as familiar with areas outside their primary focus, they were able to direct us to some areas that they thought might meet our needs.They were realistic and informed us of the market situation and made us aware of options outside our primary plan. However, they stayed focused on our needs and never tried to steer us to something different. They also were an extra set of eyes when looking at properties and would point out attributes of homes that were on our desirable/undesirable list.Limited negotiations were required because Diane and Jim had prepared us for what the market was requiring in order to get on offer accepted. We bought at a time when people were putting in offers on several houses before having one accepted. Based on information they had shared with us,the first offer we put together was accepted.One of the best things about working with them is that they each have different skills. Thus, there wasnt any question or issue that one or the other of them couldnt handle. This was enhanced by their positive can-do attitude.They continued to support us throughout the process and even beyond. They have become a great source of information about local topics and local companies. We would definitely work with Diane and Jim again.
