Not knowing anything about todays market or buying a home in general, I thought I would try and be savvy and contact the sellers agent directly on a home that I liked. Somehow I ended up with Desiree calling me. I was not interested in talking to her at all and told her so politely (ok, in my head it was politely, but it may or may not have been a bit abrupt ha!) I could tell I caught her a little off guard, but she didnt miss a beat. Now, you dont know me but I can be pretty dismissive and if I dont want to talk to you I will let you know and its rare that someone comes back from that but what she spoke about made a lot of sense and how it was important to have someone who represents me solely. Next thing I know I'm driving out to Bakersfield to see a bunch of homes with you guessed it, Desiree! On that short conversation she impressed me so much with her knowledge and tenacity. I hung up saying you know what, Desiree has some spunk so I'm going to give her a shot. I was so impressed with her easy going way of introducing me to homes. No pressure, no oversell, she took her time and never once did she try and pressure me into getting something that didnt suit my needs or my budget. Never once did I get the impression that she was in it for the quick sale or the money, we mustve looked at over 20 homes, but she never pressured me or gave me a hard time, she truly cared and wanted to make sure it was just right. Well, it took a few months, but here I am, A HOMEOWNER! In the most beautiful and perfect home for me and my family AND I have a new friend for life! In our world it is so hard to find true honesty and people who arent just looking to make a quick buck, Desiree is the perfect agent.
