ZillowVERIFIEDDerek was professional, kind, very responsive, and should be your first choice if you are looking for a home in the Binghamton, NY region. He went above and beyond to assist us. Especially right around closing and meeting contractors for negotiations when we couldn't. We appreciated his knowledge and support. I'm a tough customer too-and I couldn't recommend him more. That says a lot!

ZillowVERIFIED I contacted Derek on a recommendation from a friend. Derek informed me that my type of property was not moving at this time. He would be happy to list it if I wanted too, but as I was not in a hurry, that I should wait a little while. He seemed very knowledgeable, confident, and since he was recommended to me, I decided to take his advice. Nine months later, Derek contacted me saying that he was starting to see activity on properties like mine. I had a signed contract within a week, and at a price above my expectations. The buyer had a small problem with his financing. Derek kept everything on track, with only a very short delay. I am very satisfied with Derek, he is very knowledgeable, does what he says, and carries himself as a professional, at all times. Thank you Derek. Craig Vankuren

ZillowVERIFIED Derek is an amazing realtor!! One thing that I really noticed when my husband and I met with him to sell our home, is that "he does his homework". We noticed, that there wasn't a question that he didn't know the answer to, he comes prepared, that was very refreshing. We felt confident when he left, that he was going to work hard and do everything he could to sell our home, which was already a tough sell, being that our home flooded twice, and.... he did! The people that own it now are happy, and so are we!!!

Not very good had to contact him for updates. Me and my wife had to get everything needed and I had to take time off work to deliver papers. He basically got paid to list the house and thats it. Would not recommend him to anyone ever very unhappy. This is being nice about our interaction.

To leave a review for Derek, I must tell my story. In 1992 I built the home that we just sold. I raised 3 boys in this same home, and it was a very emotional rollercoaster, to say the least about partying with something I truly put my heart and sole into. Now comes Derek. Young, confident, a bit arrogant, but truly made me feel he would find the right owners. Derek did just that. No hassle closing was within one day of scheduled time, and during our trying times of this pandemic made things absolutely as stress free as possible. I would also like to thank Derek for putting me in touch with Thomas Collison & Meagher for handling the legal end. With the hard work and caring from Carol I could not have asked for a more pleasant transaction Thank you all. Denny

ZillowVERIFIED As first time homebuyers, Derek really took care to make us feel like a name and not a number when it came to being his client. Moving from out of state, we bought our home without being present, and he really helped us have peace of mind. We didnt feel rushed doing the virtual tour. We felt he gave us a neutral honest opinion when it came to the offer, condition, and proceedings. We never felt brushed off and always received a response and/or call over any concern. He represented us and our vision for the property to the seller and their agent and we feel made us stand out from the crowd. Derek is sincere and professional, we highly recommend him.

ZillowVERIFIED Derek helped me with the purchase of my first building, a duplex. He showed me about ten buildings and was extremely helpful, responsive, and professional throughout the entire process. Here's the best way to put it: I've worked with him, my profession is sales, I'm going to him on the next one.

ZillowVERIFIED Derek has incredibly poor communication skills and made mistakes on our paperwork multiple times. This POOR review is coming from someone who received a fair offer in a fair time frame and was happy with the closing, etc. The bottom line was WE had to do any footwork, WE had to follow up for ANY information and WE have to have our attorney follow up to perform his job. Just a poor agent. You can do MUCH better.

ZillowVERIFIED Derek is an amazing realtor. He is very genuine and seeks to understand what his client is looking for out of most steps of the purchase or sale process. We were fortunate enough to have Derek guide us through the steps of a contingent buy-sell, and we were so pleased! We had several complicated situations arise due to buyer agreement problems none of us could control, and he handled it all meticulously and rapidly. He also made sure we were being treated with respect by other agents and their buyers, well above and beyond what we have encountered with other agents in our past home buying and selling experiences. While we don't plan on moving anytime again soon (we love our new home!), when we do we will absolutely call Derek. There is no question that you should choose him to represent you and your interests!

ZillowVERIFIED Derek helped me to buy my first home recently. From the start of the process, Derek was very focused on finding listings for home that he thought may meet my needs, sending me multiple listings to look at each week. If I wanted to see a home in person, Derek was very prompt and was always willing to be flexible to meet my availability. Upon finding a home I liked, Derek was very attentive and professional in guiding me step by step through the buying process. As a first time home buyer, this alleviated a great deal of anxiety as there is so much to learn about the process of buying a home. Derek was very responsive to any questions or concerns that arose, and Derek would regularly check in with me to make sure I was on track as tasks needed to be completed throughout the process. Throughout the experience of working with Derek, I found him to not only be professional but also knowledgeable and hard working with attention to detail. Derek seems to have a strong awareness of how important the transaction of buying a home is for his customers, and worked diligently to ensure that my purchase went smoothly and was the right fit for me. I would highly recommend Derek Andreasen to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
