Being a first time home buyer, I did not know where to even begin, I was overwhelmed, stressed, and pulling my hair out! I wasnt sure what direction to go when Dennis was recommended to me by a close family friend. I reached out to him and he was very quick to respond, and helped me through the entire process! He was very honest, upfront, caring, and to say he went above and beyond would be an understatement for what he did for my family and I. He didnt just go the extra mile, he went a 100 extra miles to ensure that my family and I found what we were looking for, was within our budget, and a place we could call our forever home. He was patient, understanding, and knowledgeable for what we wanted, programs that were available to first time buyers, and a well of knowledge. We highly recommend Dennis especially for first time buyers.
Very responsive, kind, attentive to detail and nicely attends to the needs of different families. He helped us find a very nice home within our budget and kept looking until we found one that was a good fit. He put together nice offers for us and always called the other realtor first to tell us what to put in the offer so we had a better chance of landing a home.
I was in the market to buy a house. Once I contacted Dennis Friedland he got me all the criteria that I needed to get approved for a loan. He took his time and explained to me what houses that he had to show me that were in my price range. It took me about 4 months to finally get one. Dennis was very patient and helpful. I would say that if it wasnt for him I would probably still be looking. He was very professional and knew all about the properties and answered everything question that I asked about. Dennis is a joy to work with. He is extremely competent, transparent, well connected and engaged. He never failed to accommodate our needs and wishes and was always there when needed. In a tough housing market in 2020, Dennis was able to find us an excellent house and accompanied us through the entire purchasing process. His humbleness and patient manner make him a fantastic person that we can only highly recommend.
I clicked on two Zillow ads for properties that I wished to see and received a follow up call from Dennis Friedland. Dennis called and opened by telling me that he knows the market very well and has years of experience in real estate but that by the time I wished to see this property it would be gone. Thus, implying that I was wasting my time and more likely, implying to me that Im wasting his time. He didnt ask or inquire about the possibility of moving up the date or if I had something important going on. The exchange felt entirely dismissive. Regardless of intent, that was the impact. 1) A potential customer doesnt care anything about how much experience you have or how well you know the market until youve built a relationship and demonstrated for the customer that you are in fact trustworthy. What Dennis probably didnt know or didnt care about was the fact that Im not a first time homebuyer - just not in this city. I am well qualified with my down payment, job history and prequalification letter in hand. 2) He called again regarding the second property which I had clicked on - mind you both properties were clicked on within a matter of minutes. I declined the call when I saw it was Dennis as he had already turned me off to working with him based on his first impression. He immediately called back and I answered and stated, Hey Dennis, Im no longer interested in your services. Thank you at which point he started to say something and I wasnt really interested but the call was still active long enough for him to tell me, well you shouldnt click on Zillow as all of the referrals will go through me. That might have been the most useful thing he did tell me. Now I can take some recommendations from friends and family members for a traditional realtor that might better serve me. Both of those things had me irritated but no sweat. 3) Do not text a potential customer after an unpleasant exchange with the message, ??? zillow leads will go to me. Not sure why youre being rude. Good Luck Dennis still doesnt think hes done anything wrong. In my opinion, this was about the most petty and unprofessional thing he could have done. Not only will I not work with Dennis, I also will be discontinuing my use of Zillow and will be working with a traditional realtor through MLS and/or Realtor.com. I will do this despite any perceived benefits of working with a Zillow realtor - commission, closing costs or otherwise.
