Dawn Roy, was an excellent realtor to work with. She made herself available to us to see properties, even when we presented her with short notice of our interest. We started sharing with Dawn our interest in buying property in the Powhatan area about three years ago. She never lost interest in our dream. Although she would present homes she didn't feel would interest us, she always allowed us the final decision. One day we found the perfect house. We called her and we got to be the first and only people to see the property, The owners were gracious and accepted our initial offer. Within three weeks we were closing on our new home. One of the things we most appreciate about Dawn is her personal touch to detail. She followed up with us about one week after closing for coffee and to tie up loose ends. I felt this was perhaps one of the most important things that sets her apart. She put us in touch with some of her most trusted contacts, to help us get those things we needed help with. But the most generous things she did for us, was to hire a move in cleaning crew. Face it, this is one of the most dreaded tasks when moving into a new home, is having to clean your used new home before moving in. We have worked with Dawn on two home purchases and one sale in the past seven years. We got to know her when we were moving to the Richmond area and she helped us find the perfect house for us at the time. When we wanted to downsize and find something with less yard work, she once again helped us find the perfect house for us. This time we really spent time looking at several possibilities and Dawn was always willing to show us one more house or condo or whatever we wanted to see. Dawn is fun to work with and takes the stress out of the process. The thing I appreciate most, however, is that she really listens to what you want and doesn't try to talk you into anything outside of your budget. Once the house was purchased, she was able to help us find a painter, a handy-man, movers, and anything else you can think of. On the selling side, Dawn gave us great advice on pricing and helped with staging. She was extremely accurate in telling us how long the sale would take and what to expect. We got more money than we anticipated which is always a nice bonus. She responded quickly to all our questions and even offered to pet-sit our dog. She really is an amazing realtor who will meet or exceed all your expectations. I highly recommend her.
