My husband and I have worked with Darrell on two purchases, and he has been excellent for both. Our first purchase was for land. We had a very specific criteria, wanting long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains with ample land to build while also maintaining privacy and a retreat type feel. Darrell spent endless hours researching, previewing lots, walking the land with us, and pulling appropriate records. When we found our dream property, Darrell coached us through due diligence sharing with us vital steps to take prior to closing to ensure we were able to build the home we wanted in the lot we purchased. It is incredible, and refreshing, how passionate Darrell is about helping his clients find the right property. He was never pushy or seemed like he was in a hurry to make his commission. He was patient and listened to what we wanted and helped guide us to the right areas to accomplish our goals. It took us about 6 months to find the right property, but Darrell had shared with us upfront that land can take time and he was willing to spend that time with us searching for the perfect spot. It is obvious that Darrell is passionate about what he does and truly wants to help people realize their dreams. With our second purchase, we bought a home. Darrell went above and beyond to help us find this home. We do not live in the Asheville area, so Darrell toured countless homes and sent us video previews. The videos were so insightful that we put an offer on one of the homes he previewed for us without seeing the home. When we found our home, Darrell again coached us in the negotiation process and once we were under contract helped us with navigating due diligence. He called to get quotes on areas of the home that needed repair, sent us a list of all of the possible utilities/services that we may want, and assisted with numerous other tasks that I cannot imagine another realtor would do. Overall, Darrell is a pleasure to work with. He is fun to be around and full of insightful knowledge about the home buying process. He is now an invaluable member of our homebuying team, and we will use him with any other purchases we make in the Asheville/Western North Carolina area. We will also be recommending him to any of our friends who are looking for mountain property. Darrell was extraordinarily helpful in finding us our home. We were selling our home in Florida and Darrell went well above and beyond the call of duty for us every step of the way.
