The best and first thing to do is to talk to a lender. They will walk you through all the of costs involved with getting a loan and what goes into a loan payment. They are so critical to the process and it does not make sense to wait until after you started your search, it may be too late when you find THE home. I have a strong understanding of debit, credit, rates, etc. that sometimes can confuse others. I provide thorough net sheets and can analyze the data of homes on the market to help my clients get the most for their home sale or pay the best price for their purchase.
