Craig Zager recognized as a luxury property specialist, Craig Zager has been selling real estate in the Lake Tahoe area since 1989 and has personally sold more than $800 million worth of local real estate. In 2013, he ranked in the top four Coldwell Banker agents nationwide and was named the number one Coldwell Banker agent in the state of Nevada for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017 Like many Tahoe residents, Zager was drawn to the area because of his love for outdoor sports. Soon after high school, he bought a one-way ticket from his hometown, Woodland Hills, Calif., to Lake Tahoe. That was in 1979, and he has never looked back. Zager worked at a variety of jobs from snow removal to the casinos before launching his real estate career in 1989. The Stateline, Nev. Coldwell Banker office was looking for a motivated sales agent and offered to pay for Zager to get his license. Practically bursting with motivation and entrepreneurial spirit, he jumped at the chance. Now a Coldwell Banker Global Luxury agent, Certified Residential Specialist, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Resort & Second-home Property Specialist, and E-PRO, Zager is a firm believer in education and is continually increasing his knowledge of the real estate industry. And he not only sells real estate, he also buys it for financial investment. He believes real estate is one of the safest places to put your money. In his early years as a real estate agent, Zager also moonlighted as a financial planner, a skill that has come in handy over the years. However, his real estate business steadily increased. He has dedicated a great deal of his energy to raising a family and enjoys Tahoe's playground whenever possible. Zager's wife of more than 30 years, Terri, often serves as a resource for his real estate business. The couple raised their son, Jordan, and daughters, Sarah, Jahna and Liz, in Lake Tahoe. Jordan is currently attending " GradaEUR? school while all three daughters have already earned their degrees. All of their daughters are married, and Craig and Terri now have seven grandchildren! Though real estate keeps him pretty busy, he has never lost sight of what he loved about Tahoe in the first place. Zager still finds time to enjoy the outdoors downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, road cycling, kayaking and cruising Lake Tahoe in his boat.
